Graduate Certificate: Economic Development Using Location Intelligence (Credit Hour)

This certificate focuses on the concepts of economic development and the use of location intelligence data in the ethical decision-making process. Learners will employ spatial methods of organizing, planning, and managing business commercial change to a specific region. Utilizing Esri training and University of Massachusetts Global coursework, they will apply Geographical Information System (GIS) and data analytics to data-driven decision-making.

Admission to the Certificate Program

Admission to the certificate program is granted to individuals who apply and meet the standards for admission to a graduate program. The certificate is awarded upon successful completion of all coursework with a minimum grade of “C” and an overall grade point average of 3.0 or above. A maximum of 3 transfer credits is authorized to support this certificate. Economic Development Using Location Intelligence Graduate Certificate course requirements may be applied toward the completion of a graduate degree in Business, Leadership, Human Resources, Public Administration or Business Analytics.
